Rakks Style Spy: Industrial-Chic Modern Loft In Barcelona, Spain

by Rakks | May 30th, 2013

This spectacular renovation was featured on inhabitat by Andrew Michler. It is a former printing press in Barcelona, Spain. Andrew describes it as having an allure of the old infused with the new. We couldn’t agree more. This studio retrofit of the aging printing press in downtown Barcelona is intriguing and provocative. This project resonated with us because it is a functional retrofit with a lot of style and architects and designers have always selected Rakks shelving systems for projects where style and functionality go hand in hand.

We applaud Minim Interior Architects for this project. We agree with Andrew. Minim subtly slipped modern elements into the rough brick plaster and concrete core to create a surprisingly light-filled and airy living space with a minimalist modern palette.

We are always looking for projects that rise to the level of excellence that this project has attained. If you would like to submit a project to be considered for Rakks Style Spy, leave a comment on our Blog or contact us through Twitter or Facebook.
