An architectural wonder, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City opened this week with a public Open House Sunday, September 18th. The building design from architect Moshe Safdie located in Somerville, MA includes three performance spaces – a proscenium theater, a concert hall and a banquet hall as well as dressing rooms, lobbies and even a terraced garden.
Supplying custom bench supports for the dressing rooms, Rakks architectural specialty products play a “supporting role” in this fantastic facility. We provided both wall-mounted and custom free-standing bench brackets that allowed the architect to incorporate recycled plastic lumber into the design while still meeting strength and code requirements.
