Rakks Shelving and Architectural Specialty Products

Forty years ago this week, Rangine Corporation was founded by Kevian Towfigh, accomplished inventor and engineer. With the introduction of the M wall mounted standard and our rectangular shelf support brackets, the Rakks line of modern shelving systems was born! Towfigh began running the modest business out of his basement in 1971. Four decades later, the Needham headquarters serves thousands of clients worldwide every year and offers hundreds of architectural specialty products.

Interior designers and architects have sought out Rakks for the line’s stylish and functional design. Rakks can be found today in offices, museums, restaurants, retail locations and private residences across the United States. National TV shows including DIY Network’s Man Caves and respected industry publications like the New York Times and Interior Design Magazine have profiled Rakks. Even Hollywood has taken notice, featuring Rakks in the suspense thriller Duplicity starring Julia Robert and Clive Owen! Wherever Rakks is seen, the shelving systems and architectural products are leading examples of cutting-edge design.
