Interview with Rakks Fan Hayden Wayne of Studio 3X3

by Rakks | May 25th, 2012

One of the many enjoyable aspects of what we do at Rakks is working closely with interior designers and architects to create memorable spaces with our products. This often results in professional relationships which turn into friendships. Any time we see a creative use of our shelving and accessory products, we feel like we’re connected with that project.

One such creative client is show-room interior designer Hayden Wayne of Studio 3X3. Wayne, a renowned composer and librettist (find his music at newmilleniumrecords.com), along with his wife Yitka, use and reuse Rakks products to accentuate and support their designs.

We recently talked with Mr. Wayne about Studio 3X3, and discovered why loves our products and how he uses them.

Q: Tell us about Studio 3×3.

A: Simply put, we pride ourselves as a boutique operation, thus being able to personally deal with our respective clients. Our new location, 62 McKinley Street, Wappingers Falls, N.Y. 12590, is a beautiful large rectangular space, which affords us the luxury of having four sets running. We do all photography for insert of packaging product for the textile industry.

That said, we were subsequently asked to help one client during the textile industry’s bi-annual Market Week. Reluctant at first, we decided to take on the job and soon enough became the “darlings” and pulled in many clients. We called this Market Week service Yitka Wayne Styling.

Q: And how did you discover Rakks?

A: I discovered Rakks on line searching for possible ideas to give a fresh new look in presentation. Calling up your company, I introduced myself and subsequently became friends with Keith and have maintained, not only our high professional relationship, but have become friends as well.

Q: How do Rakk’s products work in a show-room environment?

A: What is particularly great about the Rakks product line is that each entity can be reused. So part of my spiel to the respective clients, especially when they seem resistant to spending the money, is that the specific selling point is the recycling aspect which has already proven itself several times over.

Also, your product allows me to cross dress with other manufacturers’ product lines. For example, this bedroom setup (below) has frosted plexi-glass panels housed in Rakks PC4 support poles with T-5 lighting strips installed behind them.

Thank you Hayden! Be sure to check out Studio 3X3’s website and Hayden’s music. Remember to follow Rakks on Twitter and Like us on Facebook.
